The Outpost spring season comes to a close, and now it’s off to summer with the 23rd Annual Summer Thursday Jazz Nights (June 14-Aug 23); the 13th Annual New Mexico Jazz Festival (July 11-30); Jazz & Latin Music Classes (starts June 11!) &! PLUS, a very special Outpost Fundraiser on June 3 – Hillary on the Hill! For the past five years, we have presented the fabulous Outpost Gala Fundraiser at the Albuquerque Museum, but this year, we decided to hold a number of smaller fundraisers, such as our Jazz Club Style Benefit at Outpost with Circuit Rider at the beginning of the spring season. Recently, the The Outpost Board decided to hold a very special intimate evening of music, food and friendship at one of our board member’s homes in High Desert on Sunday June 3 featuring a dinner catered by The Cooperage, a concert from 5:30-6:30 pm by one of Albuquerque’s most beloved R&B, Gospel, Jazz vocalists, Hillary Smith, with saxophonist, Glenn Kostur and pianist, Jim Ahrend, and of course the beautiful New Mexico sunset to close the evening!
