Celebrating the long-term musical relationships he has cultivated throughout his 25 years in New Mexico, guitarist and banjo player Gregg Daigle performs music from his new duo release, Palatable to a Goat, a collaboration with mandolinist Don Grieser that features both original compositions and their favorite standards. The second half of the evening will feature a number of bluegrass interpretations with an all-star lineup comprising vocalist Josh Gingerich (The Porter Draw); bassist Justin McLauchlin, (Nosotros, Ryan McGarvey and Alex Maryol); and violinist Muni Kulasinghe (Le Chat Lunatique). Daigle earned a classical guitar degree at which time he also developed his skills playing banjo & flat-pick guitar. He has played across America from the subways & squares of Boston to the bluegrass festivals of Colorado. His willingness to explore different combinations of genre, tone and rhythm have helped him to craft an exceptional sound that captivates and entertains his audiences. Daigle is also a dedicated teacher whose annual “Jam ‘N Band Scramble” recital is a wonderful showcase for amateur students of all ages.
