East of the Bone Yard: Motorcycle Drawings by Jacqui Lewnes

For Jacqui Lewnes, motorcycles represent freedom, movement, and friendships. They embody youthful memories of summer: moving through the days with the wind in her face. Now, slightly older, she rides to keep grounded. These drawings are created from a collection of her photos, toys and great memories of her first bikes. These motorcycles, like life, are not stationary nor static. The bikes shake and rattle, the kick-stands are up and it’s up to you to catch the bikes before they fall over.
