The Melissa Aldana: Visions For Frida Kahlo concert this Saturday, March 14, is still being presented as scheduled, but has been limited by us to an audience of 75 people with chairs spread out in a space designed for 160. If you do not feel you want to attend, we totally understand and will refund your ticket.
Beginning Monday, March 16, in light of this fact and the state government’s public health order suspending gatherings of more than 100 persons, we are cancelling all concerts at the Outpost Performance Space until April 15, at which time we will reevaluate the situation and our next steps.
We will continue to keep you updated and informed in as timely a fashion as possible and if you have any questions, feel free to call us at 505-268-0044.
And in the words of Outpost Founder and Executive Director, Tom Guralnick…
“While this has been a hard decision to make, it is clearly the only responsible way to go and we hope and pray that its effect will be positive in helping all of us to get beyond this crisis.
Hardest of all, perhaps, is that we will miss the community that we treasure here at Outpost (other organizations have their own beautiful communities). MUSIC HEALS and so it is almost counter-intuitive to cancel concerts. We will miss each and every one of you – artists, audience members, friends, children and so on – who comprise our Outpost family. We look forward to seeing you happy and healthy on the other side of the crisis. We wish each and every one of you health and happiness and consolation in the idea that we are all in this together.”
With Deepest Love and Gratitude,
Tom Guralnick, Outpost Founder & Executive Director; and everybody else here at Outpost (staff, Board, volunteers, etc.)
